Privacy Policy for Synergy - Web to Figma
Last Updated: January 2025
Overview
Synergy - Web to Figma ("Synergy", "the Plugin", "the Extension") is a unified Figma plugin and Chrome extension that allows users to import web pages into Figma and manage design styles. This privacy policy explains how Synergy handles user data.
Data Collection and Usage
Figma Plugin
The Figma Plugin processes files locally within the Figma application:
- File Processing: When you import files (.figh, .json, HTML, CSS), the plugin processes them locally in your Figma session
- Design Analysis: The plugin analyzes your Figma designs to create variables, styles, and identify components
- No External Transmission: All processing happens within Figma. No data is sent to external servers
Chrome Extension
The Chrome Extension accesses the following data from web pages you visit:
- Page Content: HTML structure, CSS styles, text content, images, and layout information
- Screenshots: Full-page screenshots (only when you explicitly enable the "Include reference screenshot" option)
- Page Metadata: URL, page title, viewport dimensions
How Data is Used
- Local Processing Only: All data processing happens entirely on your device. The Extension analyzes page content locally in your browser, and the Plugin processes files within Figma
- File Export: The Extension creates a
.figh file containing page structure and styles, which is downloaded to your computer
- Figma Integration: Imported files are processed and converted into Figma layers within your Figma workspace
- Screenshots: Screenshots are only captured when you enable the option and are included in exported files for reference purposes
